The matching potholders

I can never seem to get two exactly alike.  The color pooling is always slightly different ...

ah well .... they go well with my green dishcloth.

(They also protect my feet from Harriet the Happy Hippo.)

A small pink thread crochet bag

I recently finished this little bag.  It's made from some variegated crochet thread.  Not very big, but could be useful.

A what? a bottle holder ? wow, it's RED!

Isn't it better to carry a pretty bottle of water instead of just the plain old water bottle?

How about this one?

A Japanese Knot Bag

So I didn't sleep so well last night. I kept waking up every couple hours, then every hour.  So around 4:30 I decided I just needed to get up.  I also decided that I should do something constructive, so I chose to make a Japanese Knot Bag!  It will also serve as a project for the HPKCHC as one of the prompts (which today is the last day) needs a non-Ravelry craft. (That means not crochet, and not knitting - but sewing fits the bill nicely!

I found my pattern here.

I lengthened and widened the body of the bag, so my dimensions are a little bit different, but the concept and sewing steps are still the same.

Wah Lah!  (btw - one bag - it's reversible.)

A little premie hat and a shawl in progress

Here's a little premie hat I made ....

I also started a CAL (Crochet A Long) and am using up some Caron Simply Soft yarn stash I have.  I got this far, and then I wasn't sure what color to add next as I was running low on charcoal gray ...

So I polled others that were doing the same CAL and one person suggested the pink.. and I thought, what the hay .. green and pink go well together ...

I'm liking how it's turning out ..should be done in a few days.

Recent Crochet Items

I purchased some really cheap yarn and I really don't like it, but I did finish it up in two projects.

The first is this premie hat.  I'm hoping that it will soften up after it gets washed.
If it doesn't .. then ...

I will just have to use it to hold hot cocoa mix pouches :)

I also made this scarf.  The pattern starts at one end and finishes at the end.  Problem was that the beginning didn't look as good as the finish.

So I added a little to the 'beginning' and now the two ends look a lot a like.

Here's a shot of Peaches trying the hat on ;)

Here's her trying to try the scarf while I was laying it out to photograph it ...

Here's the scarf all laid out.

new Cricut and Nesting Dolls Card

So I got a new cricut .. it's able to write and cut at the same time and it cuts more accurately than the previous model.

Here's a card that I made two nights ago . . . .

This was a pre-prepared project. I just selected the project and it lined up the mats and away I went!

That's pretty kewl don't you think? :)

Photos Photos Photos :)

I know I don't talk much, but this is the before (july) and after for my Detention for HPKCHC .. which means it had to of been started before July, and I am "WIP the 1st" so it was finished on July 1st, today.

It is a motif and will later be placed in a project, but for now it is done.

Also - I won a prize for participation in my Gryffindor Pride (Kneazles) .. and received that recently .. I feel so blessed.

Such gorgeous yarns, and such very nice people to have one donate this prize to me.

A finished Cowl - a solved Mystery

This is a finished cowl as part of the HPKCHC Headmistress Challenge for the Spring 2016 term.  We were given 3 clues, 1 at a time but we didn't know what it would look like until we had completed the clues.  I think this turned out pretty well, don't you?  I like it.

Four Dishcloths ..

These dishcloth were submitted for a Quidditch Agility Match - 200 yards in less than a week.  Do you like?

I started this knit baby afghan earlier this month, and it seemed to take me forever. However, I finally finished it tonight.  I share with you my ginger beer cast on, and the finished photos.

Essential Oil Bags - sewn this time!

Here is the bag set I made today.  It's for a very special someone.
I think you may know who you are :)

Comments welcome.

An Entrelac Dishcloth

So I made this dishcloth.  The knitting technique is called entrelac, and then I did a crochet border to smooth the edges.

Working on my OWL :)

These are just a few things I've finished for the HPKCHC game I'm doing on Ravelry.com.

Another I just finished is for Quidditch ....

Using this yucky yarn . . . difficult to crochet with . . but I did it and used up some stash.
