Items crafted on our trip to CT

We drove to CT to visit family for Thanksgiving, and on the way there I kept my hands busy.  here are a few of the things that I worked on in the car and also while there visiting.

There was also a small coaster made out of the above yarn,
but I gave it away before I could take a picture of it.

Another HPKCHC Class

This project will be submitted for the November 2015 HPKCHC class called "Hogwarts in the Triwizard Cup".

This is a micropremie baby hat that will be given to the local hospital NICU.

HPKCHC - Cat Hats

A friend of mine requested some hats for her cats.  I couldn't find a pattern, however, by using several pictures I was able to come up with these.

You can see that Peaches does not really care for hats.  Thank goodness they are not for her. :)

HPKCHC - two more classes done!

So today was a slow day at work.  I had time to get some crocheting done.  I decided to use the time to finish two more projects for the Ravelry.com - HPKCHC class projects.

This is for Flying November 2015 - It is a magic flying carpet to take me to the TriWizard Tournament. (a dishcloth in muggle life)

After I had finished the "flying carpet" I still had a bit of yarn left.

So - on to the next class which is Defense Against Dark Arts November 2015.  The assignment was to practice the "kill" spell.  You could either "kill" acrylic (which is a method of blocking acrylic, which is different then blocking wool or natural fibers).  OR you could "Kill" some leftover yarn.  I chose to kill the yarn leftover from my Flying assignment.

So now I have two new dishcloths.  Pretty aren't they?

It's a hat :)  or a cauldron .. however you look at it.

Here's the matching scarf and mittens that I made previously.

HPKCHC - Detention November 2015

Several years ago, in 2009 and 2010, I participated in the Harry Potter Knit & Crochet House Cup on Ravelry.com.  I really enjoyed it and recently went back on Ravelry to see if it was still going strong.  It IS still going on, and has grown quite a bit since I was last there.  I think it would be fun to get back into the swing of things, and so in order to have a better chance to be sorted into a house for the next term, which begins in January, I need to submit photos for classes this month.  So, for my first class, Detention November 2015 - I'm submitting these mittens.

Detention is a class for finishing of WIPS (or projects started before the current class and finished in the month of the current class).  These mittens are a part of a set that I'm making .. scarf, mittens, and hat.

The scarf is finished, the mittens are now finished, and I will make the hat for another of the classes in the HPKCHC this month.
